Was right behind this gentleman at the ticket barriers and his Oyster card didn’t cause the barriers to open up. He let out very loud and angry hiss at the barriers turning back.

As I was right behind him I got on next and could still see the error message it gave him. It read “not enough money” or “please top up your card” or something along those lines – can’t remember the exact phrase.

Sorry dear, don’t blame the ticket barriers, they only understand one language and it starts with £!
